Building a grassroots Bitcoin community in North East Los Angeles since 2024.
NELA Bitcoiners exists to educate, connect, and empower individuals in North East Los Angeles to understand and use Bitcoin as a tool for financial sovereignty.
We believe that Bitcoin is more than just an investment—it's a movement towards a more open, fair, and decentralized financial system. Our goal is to make Bitcoin accessible to everyone, regardless of their technical background or financial status.
How a small group of Bitcoin enthusiasts became a thriving community.
It started with a few friends meeting at a local coffee shop in Highland Park to discuss Bitcoin. What began as casual conversations quickly grew into something more.
Word spread through neighborhoods across LA. Soon, our informal meetups attracted dozens of curious newcomers, and we found our home at The San Fernando in Glendale.
Today, NELA Bitcoiners hosts regular events, workshops, and has become a cornerstone of the Los Angeles Bitcoin community. And we're just getting started.
